Warren Palmer from The Salvation Army says the proceeds from the raffle equates to assisting over 2,000 people struggling through the cost-of-living crisis with emergency support.
Mr Palmer further explains, “We congratulate the winner of the Concert Superpass which will no doubt deliver memorable experiences over the next 12 months. The support that is provided through the Concert Superpass is a vital lifeline for The Salvation Army meeting the ever-increasing needs of West Australians doing it tough right now. Whether it is through support in financial hardship, homelessness or family violence, The Salvation Army’s ability to respond is significantly boosted through the generosity of the many who purchased tickets and our valued long term partner RAC Arena and Perth Rotary. We simply say, ‘thank you’ on behalf of all who have and will receive our support that will contribute to the health and well-being of their lives.”
RAC Arena’s General Manager Michael Scott goes on to add, “Now more than ever The Salvation Army are playing a pivotal role in supporting those in need within our community, and I can’t thank the people of WA enough for getting behind this year’s raffle. The funds raised will assist the organisation continuing their good work during these trying times, and we’re so proud of being able to provide a way to aid this cause. Congratulations to Kym, who is in for an action-packed year of music, and we look forward to celebrating such a wonderful birthday milestone with her over the next 12 months.”
This year’s winner, Kym Colotti, was very excited by the result, “I am thrilled that I have won a year’s worth of double passes to concerts at RAC Arena. What a perfect way to celebrate my year of turning 50. I am especially excited to see blink-182 and Matchbox Twenty perform live. It’s going to be an unforgettable year of music and celebration, and I can’t wait to experience it all!”
