As we prepare to celebrate Diwali – Festival of lights around the world, I am really looking forward to the celebration this year with the members of Perth Rotary on Friday, 1st November 2024. I will be attending the lunch with my family and hope I get to celebrate it with lots of members of my Rotary family.

I have been advised that there is a special curry cooking in the kitchen for this Friday lunch so if you haven’t yet booked, here is the link - https://www.trybooking.com/CWGPO. I would love to see colour and culture in anything you wear from bindi on your forehead to wearing bangles to an Indian dress to impress.

On 2nd November, Perth Rotary members will be again volunteering at the Pirate Ship Foundation – Ultimate Backyard Cricket Match at the Bailey Brewing Co. If you have not registered yet, please contact either myself or Graham Peden as we are looking for 6-8 more volunteers to help us at the event.  E:  Graham Peden | Graham@wwperth.com  E:  Manu Gupta | president@rotaryperth.org.au

Finally, The Rotary Foundation Celebration Dinner is being held on 8th Nov 2024. The dinner will be addressed by Mark Maloney (PRIP & current Chair of the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation) and I do know some of our club members have already booked their tickets and I look forward to a great night of fellowship with our members as well as fellow Rotarians in the District 9423.  Bookings are open here or scan the QR code on the flyer below. Bookings close on 31 October 2024.

Regards,
