"In a world where you can be anything, be kind."
Often attributed to author Clare Pooley, this quote serves as a powerful reminder of a fundamental value. Kindness is defined by the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate, not only to others but also to ourselves. It’s an essential practice that acknowledges our differences, celebrates our similarities, and shows empathy in both our successes and our setbacks. Let's strive to lead with kindness in all that we do.

ROTARIANS ON THE MOVE THIS WEEK....
The reach of Perth Rotarians has been far and wide this past week.
D9423 Representative Goes "Off The Grid" for ShelterBox
District 9423 ShelterBox Representative, PP Wesley Sim, recently traveled to New South Wales to attend the annual ShelterBox Conference. To raise awareness and funds, he participated in an immersive "Off The Grid" camp out, where he experienced firsthand the conditions faced by families displaced by conflict and disaster.
While spending a night in a ShelterBox tent, Wesley was reminded that his temporary discomfort is a stark contrast to the reality for millions who have lost everything.
He asks all Rotarians to join his mission to ensure no one is without shelter after a disaster. Please consider donating to this critical cause via the link below:

Rotary Youth Exchange | The Adventure continues....
From the city lights to the great outdoors, our Rotary Youth Exchange student Elliot is having an incredible adventure! He's currently heading south to the rugged Wellington Dam area for a three-day camp with our Corporate Member, St. George's Anglican Grammar School Outdoor Education Unit. He'll be putting his skills to the test, navigating the Australian bush and the winding Collie River.
This wilderness expedition comes right after an action-packed weekend in Sydney! Elliot truly conquered the eastern seaboard, climbing the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, taking a ferry to Manly Beach, and exploring the historic Rocks district. What a way to see Australia!

Rotary Foundation of Australia | Board Meeting
I recently had the privilege of attending my first board meeting for the Rotary Foundation of Australia at the Rotary International Office in Norwest, NSW. It was a personally enriching and educational experience. My goal is to use these insights to deepen all club’s understanding of and support for the vital work of the Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation of Australia operates with the highest level of transparency, governed by highly experienced and qualified Rotarians. This commitment to excellence has earned The Rotary Foundation the highest possible rating from Charity Navigator for the thirteenth consecutive year. The Foundation encourage all members to consider supporting this impactful work through a donation or a bequest.
