Dear Rotarians and Friends
I would like to personally thank you all for helping me raise $5054.20 towards the St Vinnies CEO Sleepout.
105 CEO's braved the weather on a sheet of cardboard; a sleeping bag; with a cup of soup and a bun to raise a total of $861,000 on the night.
The Rotary Club of Perth was recognised for Passages, its Joint Venture with St Vinnies and the great work provided by Passages Hub and Staff.  There was a very poignant video of Vanessa, a client of Passages who has been living on the streets since age 14 and is now 22.  Vanessa explained how essential the Passages Service was for just basic living.  The showers; the laundry; the RCOP; the referrals and help for getting work have been essential for her survival.

She also expressed the caring non-judgemental attitude of the Passages staff, which is so important from Street Present People who have left the family home due to abuse, and have no-one to turn to for support.

We are indeed indebted to David Reed for his foresight, determination and incredible fundraising to establish Passages in 1998.

Thank you.
