The energy and dedication within our club never ceases to amaze me. A perfect example is the team effort by Past Presidents Stephen Inouye and George Etrelezis, who have joined forces to host our upcoming Rotary Club Business Luncheon on Friday, 2nd October.

Nepal Flash Floods: ShelterBox Response Underway
Devastating flash floods in northern Nepal have destroyed entire communities, leaving thousands without shelter or critical infrastructure. Working alongside local partners and Rotary International, ShelterBox is on the ground delivering urgent relief:
Immediate Aid: Emergency shelter materials and household essentials are arriving for displaced families.
Ongoing Challenges: Damaged roads and heavy rain continue to hinder access to remote areas as communities begin to rebuild.

Perth Rotarian Ulrich quietly works behind the scenes—collecting stamps and clearing coins from the Kings Park Wishing Well to fund local Rotary youth and community initiatives. It’s a modest task with a massive reach. Our partners at the Victoria Park Rotary Club recently shared an update on where the funds from Ulrich’s latest stamp sales have gone:
"Proceeds from the stamp sales have directly supported local charities and emergency projects, including the RAWCS Bushfire Appeal, Mana Respond, Interplast, Carson Street School, NSW Flood Appeal, Blue Dot Army, and local school projects like the East Vic Park Primary Sensory Garden."

Centenary Launch: 'The Book of Graces'
We officially launched The Book of Graces at our Legacy Lunch, and we extend our deep gratitude to Reverend John for his humor, dedication, and decades of service to our club. We are equally grateful that he meticulously saved all of his witty commentaries over the years to make this publication possible!
Support Our Centenary Project We aim to sell 1,200 copies, with additional books designated as gifts for our guest speakers. All proceeds directly fund Perth Rotary’s Centenary Project: the refurbishment and upgrade of the Barry Marshall Research Institute for Infectious Diseases.
How You Can Help We are making a BIG ASK of our members: please consider purchasing 10 copies each. Meeting this challenge will put us well on track to hit our 1,200-copy goal and secure vital funding for our project. At $25 per book, they make fantastic Christmas gifts and a wonderful way to promote Perth Rotary.
